As a professional singer, I believe in using music as a tool for kids
and grown-ups.
Who is Lizzy?
Lizzy is me, Lizanne Hennessey.
All the songs on "Lizzy and the Lizzards Sing it Like it IS" are
written by me, based on my own personal experience as a Mom. Every day, I
deal with milestones too, big ones as well as little ones, and I found
music to be an amazing tool to help me be an active part of my kids'
life and their development.
Someone once said, "If you
can't say it, sing it". Nothing could be more spot-on when it comes to
kids! If children don't quite have the words yet to express themselves,
whether it's indicating where they have an owie, or conveying a more
complex, abstract emotion, it can be extremely frustrating for everyone.
Lizzy takes the role of the musical advocate for kids and their
grown-ups by translating a wide range of frustrations, emotions,
questions, milestones and achievements into song for kids and grown-ups
to relate to and make their own.
As a professional singer, I believe in using music as a tool for kids
and grown-ups.
Communication and learning through music and singing,
regardless of whether or not you can sing on key, is essential for a
child's development, and makes for happy kids!
My children Mia and Bram are my muses, and provide me personally with a wonderful excuse: to be able sing all the time.
