Music is Magic

Our crowd-funding project on Rockethub has come to a close, and to show her eternal gratitude to all who supported it, here is Lizzy herself, not saying thank you, but singing it...



In retrospect, I think an even greater goal was reached than the one we set out to achieve; namely,  reaching out and spreading the word about the importance of music for children.

Our goal was, still is, and always will be, to inspire, encourage and motivate through music! We found out through this project that music matters a lot, which has inspired us even more to make the album 'Lizzy and the Lizzards Sing it Like it IS' a reality, hopefully by the end of 2013.

So while you wait, put an instrument in a child's hands, and watch what happens! And if you don't have one, a wooden spoon and some pots and pans make a rockin' drumset. A toilet paper tube is a super trumpet, a rubberband is an awesome guitar, and the notes you can make with your very own voice all provide endless ways to make music.

• Make music in the car, on the swingset, in the bathtub!
• Make music while you're waiting in line at the store, at the post office, in a traffic jam!
• Make up a song about your day, about your grandparents, about your pet goldfish!
• Make music when you're sad, when you're happy, or when you're frustrated!
• Send a message through music. Sing a story!

Music is magic. And now I know you think so too.
